StudybreakÜ is a live concert series hosted in Georgetown University’s Lauinger Library. Our stage is found within the Midnight Mug, a small intimate venue with a cheerful warmth. Our goal is to uplift local artists–primarily students–that wish to share their creative endeavors with the community.

StudybreakÜ was started in 2019 with an inaugural performance by Back to Yours. Friends Hugh Brooks and Seamus Masterson planned the first concert and have worked on every live session since. The series has taken many forms, including a string of virtual performances during the pandemic nicknamed “Hoyas at Home.” StudybreakÜ is also constantly adapting to ensure we make the highest quality content possible. From one DSLR camera and one microphone to an array of sound and HD video equipment, StudybreakÜ is always seeking to upgrade.
